Overview
In this unit, children will explore lines, mark-making, and color mixing using oil pastels and watercolors. They will discover how colors mix, blend, and change when combined through experimentation with a variety of oil pastel and watercolor techniques.

Materials and Tools
- Set of oil pastels
- 9 x 12” paper or 12 x 18” paper
- Paper towel
- Set of watercolors
- Cup of water (use a shallow container with a wide base that won’t spill)
- Paper towel to dry brush
