Overview
We will choose and add craft details to our sculptures. Students will understand that adding details gives more information about their character.

Activities
Step 1
Look at craft materials (beads, yarn, string, white clay, felt, cotton, buttons, Model Magic, wood pieces, etc.). As a group, discuss their shapes, and how they could be used.
Step 2
Demonstrate adding craft details. Show how different objects need to be attached.
Step 3
Have students select craft materials and add additional details to their puppets.
Reflection
Students will introduce their puppet to the class using a special voice for their character and answering the following questions:
What is your character’s name?
What does your character like to do?
What would your character like to say?
Writing Prompt (Optional):
Students will continue writing their final pieces.
