Materials and Tools

  • 12×18 white drawing paper
  • Red, yellow, blue oil pastels

Step 1

Students will start by drawing some large shapes on their paper.

Step 2

Students will start by drawing some large shapes on their paper.

Students will fill their whole paper with new colors that they mixed.

Reflection Questions for Discussion

  • What’s the lightest part of your drawing?
  • What’s the darkest part?
  • Show us your favorite color that you mixed.  Come up with a name for your color and tell us how you made it.
