Think of a special outdoor place that you used to visit. Was the light bright or dark? Was the street straight or curved? Was it hilly or flat?
What shapes and colors do you remember?
Draw what you remember, based on what stands out in your mind. You could draw a view straight on, or you could draw a view from above.
You could draw the actual light and color of this place, or you could draw the light and colors of your feelings when you remember this place. Use your imagination and memory, and don’t worry about showing real space or distance.
Just for fun, ask a friend or family member who was also there to try this too! Then, when you are finished, compare your drawings.
What is the same in both drawings? What is different? What does that tell us about our memories?
